300 meters

It all starts when I listen TO my name in the megaphone. I take my tracksuit of and I go to my lane. I'm very concentrated, I'm just thinking about running, just 300 metters, just this.

I open my nose, I can feel the clean air inside me. Everybody is shouting, everybody is watching what you are going to do in 45 seconds. Just these, 45 seconds.

I arrive at my line and I put my left foot on the line. I turn my head and I see my oponents, they are exactly like me, just people who love running!

I watch the line, I watch my lane. Now, I'm ready to run. I'm just waiting for the starting shot.

I wait, I wait only 10 seconds, for me they seem more than 30. Then, 10 seconds later, I hear the starting shot and I start to run, just 300 meters.

I'm feeling good, I love this feeling. I love it when I'm alone, alone in the world, when nothing else happens, just this moment, just now.

I continue running, until I start to see the final line, then I start to run faster, as fast as I can and I finally arrive.
It doesn't matter if I'm the first one or if I'm the last one. It's just this, 300 meters.
